Christmas 2012 saw us in Birmingham visiting the Christmas Market and enjoying another show.
This time it was "9 to 5" a musical written by Dolly Parton.
I've said it before - but a bonus of living in Singapore is a steady stream of touring Musicals. The latest was the American National Tour of Annie - a fun show - but unfortunately a disappointing production - left feeling my school could have done better! Sound in Singapore is always "low" whereas the London West End shows shake the auditorium!
We saw two shows in London in the summer of 2015, the first was the famous 'Book of Mormon'... although as Christians we were warned it might be a little uncomfortable, I loved it !
The latest show to pass through Singapore is an oldie - CATS was here in 2009 - but we didn't see it then - in fact, the last time we saw CATS was in Bangkok!
Back in London - so my choice of musical was 'Charlie & the Chocolate Factory'.
One of my favourite movies of all time has been turned into a musical. We had to go!
Boxing Day 2013 saw us back in Birmingham for another Musical, this time of a great movie, GHOST.
By a stroke of luck, Ghost the Musical was playing in Macau while we were there, and ticket prices were half that of Singapore, so it was not to be missed! Not my favourite musical, but well worth seeing at Macau prices!
The latest show to hit Singapore was Grease, time for another night out! Teddy enjoyed it!
Never one to miss the Christmas musical, we were off to Birmingham. Christine joined us this year - so a (very) quick look down the main street in the rain was followed by good theatre. My school is performing Hairspray next year - so it will be interesting to see how they do in comparison!
Another great musical passing through Singapore, Jersey Boys!
The Birmingham show this year was Jersey Boys - a little unfortunate we had seen it so recently in Singapore - but still, not to be missed!
Time for another musical to pass through Singapore - this time one of the biggest and best known - so of course we had to go!
Another Musical in Singapore - and with almost front row seats, off to the side next to the speakers - the sound and the view was fantastic! This is always a fun show.
Shanhong's choice was 'Matilda' but she had to take teddy alone!
Our first show in Vegas was a Musical, the story of four famous singers and the night they all met together at Sun Studios... Million Dollar Quartet
The final show of the summer was an old favourite, Miss Saigon. It's back in the West End and as good as ever!
Time for another show in Singapore. My Fair Lady was touring, so of course it couldn't be missed!
Never one to miss up a chance to see a Musical passing through Singapore, today we went to Resorts World, Sentosa to see Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, a show we last saw in New York.
Another musical in Singapore, a good oldie.... lots of fun - and raincoats for those in the front seats! Coming direct from London's West End, it was the start of an international run for 'Singin' in the Rain'. Shockingly, teddy got left at home for this one.... oops!
