Having enjoyed New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC, it was time to head further north. Of course, as good tourists, there are certain places that have to be visited, and our next stop was Hershey’s chocolate world! From there we also visited the Corning Glass Museum and listened to an elderly American give the tour in perfect Mandarin!

From Hershey’s and Corning, it was a long drive up to the north, and to Niagara. For Visa reasons, we stayed on the US side of the falls, but we had ample time to see the falls from the top – and, on the famous ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat ride, also from the bottom. The falls are impressive, of course, but it is the noise that surprises!

After Niagara, it was another long coach journey up to Boston, famous for one of my favourite TV shows, “Boston Legal” and for Lobsters – and something about a tea-party, but us Brits don’t like to talk about that! Of course, being teachers we also visited the campuses of Harvard and MIT.

After Boston, the final long trip, back to New York – with Daytrips to West Point Academy and the Westbury Common Outlet Stores where, after 20 years of wanting, I actually bought a pair of Calvin Klein Jeans!

So, there you have it, the end of the coach tour – and back in New York for some lazy days on our own.

Take care!Trevor, Shanhong & teddy xx
